Alan Parsons

The Dark Side of the Moon (1973). Il travaille avec Al Stewart sur Year of the Cat , puis fonde en 1976, avec l'Écossais Eric Woolfson , The Alan Parsons Project : Tales of Mystery and Imagination (1976), inspiré d'Edgar Allan Poe, I Robot (1977), d'après Isaac Asimov, The Turn of a Friendly Card (1980) et Eye in the Sky (1982) en font l'un des poids lourds du rock progressif des années quatre-vingt — paradoxalement peu vendus dans leur pays d'origine, énormes en Allemagne, en France et en Amérique du Nord. Ammonia Avenue (1984) livre « Don't Answer Me ». Après la séparation, Parsons signe sous son nom, de Try Anything Once (1993) à A Valid Path (2004, avec David Gilmour ), The Secret (2019) et From the New World (2022), tout en produisant Steven Wilson (2013). L'édition 35e anniversaire d'Eye in the Sky lui vaut un Grammy en 2019.
