L'Alex Skolnick Trio est le projet jazz du guitariste américain Alex Skolnick, né le 29 septembre 1968 à Berkeley, plus connu comme guitariste de thrash metal au sein de Testament.
Skolnick rejoint le groupe de la Bay Area alors nommé Legacy en 1984 et enregistre cinq albums avec Testament entre 1987 et 1992 (de The Legacy à The Ritual) avant de partir, puis de revenir définitivement en 2005. En parallèle, son trio reprend des standards avec un regard rock : Goodbye to Romance: Standards for a New Generation (2002), Transformation (2004), Last Day in Paradise (2007), Veritas (2011), Conundrum (2018) et Prove You're Not a Robot (2025). Il a aussi joué avec Savatage, Ozzy Osbourne et le Trans-Siberian Orchestra, et publié en 2013 ses mémoires, Geek to Guitar Hero.
